AbTeC Skins
AbTeC Skins is a collaboration between Skawennati Fragnito, Jason Lewis and Celia Pearce and a group of artists, writers and advisors. The project was initiated at the Banff Centre’s “Skinning Our Tools” symposium in 2003. Fragnito and Pearce wanted to create a way to bridge the gap between digital media and games and traditional First Nations cultures in Canada. The outcome will be a workship in which Native 18-25 year olds will create online interactive environments that merge Aboriginal legends and history with their own contemporary lives and concerns. www.abtec.org
