Ogilvy & Mather Interactive Advertising Group (1990-1993)

One of my earliest freelance clients was the very innovative interactive advertising group Ogilvy & Mather. We designed pre-www interactive banner ads for Prodigy and created this wacky floppy disk with 10 interactive ads on it for Forbes Magazine. (I still have the disk somewhere, although I’m certain it’s totally unplayable.) I also designed a game for GM to teach kids how to manage recharging of their new electric car, the ironically named Impact. The people who ran that group went on to start one of the first interactive television initiatives in the early 1990s for AT&T.
