Purple Moon Friendship Adventure Cards (1997)

A set of trading cards that took elements from the CD-ROMs to extend the experience off the computer.
Purple Moon Friendship Adventure Cards were included with the Rockett’s World and Secret Paths CD-ROM game series from Purple Moon Software, a trailblazing girl gaming company founded by Brenda Laurel. The cards were designed to extend the game experience beyond the computer, creating a social context where girls 9-12 could explore the characters and stories from the CD-ROM games in a creative, social context. I worked closely with lead writer/character/story creator, Pamela Dell, to develop the cards based on existing story components and assets.
