Georgia Institute of Technology (2006-present)

Assistant Professor of Digital Media/Director, Experimental Game Lab
I am currently Assistant Professor and Director of the Experimental Game Lab in Georgia Tech’s School of Literature, Communication, and Culture in the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts. The Digital Media Program, directed by Janet Murray, was the first program in the U.S. to embrace games as part of a graduate curriculum. It includes both an MS and a Ph.D. in Digital Media that integrates HCI, digital and interactive art, digital literature, and critical theory in a synthesis of theory and practice. I also teach in Computational Media, an undergraduate program that is shared with the College of Computing. I also direct the Experimental Game Lab and my own research group, the Emergent Game Group.
